Guidelines

Type Code Rules:
  • Must be unique across all incident types
  • Only lowercase letters and underscores allowed
  • No spaces or special characters
  • Examples: fatality, lost_time_injury, environmental_spill
Best Practices:
  • Use clear, descriptive type names
  • Provide detailed descriptions for clarity
  • Set appropriate default severity levels
  • Use sort order to group related types together
